Before joining MCC, I was trying to get my tracks on TV. My friends in the business told me I needed to take a look at my production skills. My production skills were not very good. My tracks had balance, clarity and loudness issues. Immediately after joining MCC, I made new friends that had goals similar to mine: produce great sounding tracks. It did not take long before my mixing and mastering got better. In fact, a few months after joining, one of my tracks was placed in a TV show. Making friends and getting better at mixing/production/mastering is what we do at MCC. It's a community headed up by Chris, and I'm so grateful for the opportunity to be a part of this great community.

I'm so pleased that I found MCC to enable me to develop my music production skills with noticeable improvements. Chris is joined regularly by other enthusiastic professionals for the live mix review sessions where members' mixes are played and then reviewed in detail for all aspects of our songs including all mixing attributes but also for song composition, timing etc., for us to learn and progress.

I love the fact that MCC is so accessible in that members are of all standards from 'just starting out' to experienced established musicians and producers who aim to fine tune their skills whilst helping others.
Also, Chris sets thoughtful mix challenges that really help us focus on specific aspects and because members are working on the same song ..., it's easy to hear where we've learned and nailed our mix and where and how we can still improve.

Since I joined 2 years ago, I have seen only positive and friendly help from the whole MCC community,... . I can't think of anywhere else I could receive this support, especially at such a reasonable annual cost. Now I have this professional feedback, I've stopped asking family and friends what they think of my mixes as you know their response is always either "Yeah sure, it sounds great!" or "It’s the same as your last version, isn't it??!

When working on something that demands specific and specialized skills, like music production, being able to give and receive is the key. Sharing and interacting with others. How? COMMUNITY is the Keyword.

MCC has a forum with different subgroups (about production, mixing, collaborations, gear, and so on), monthly masterclass by Chris, materials and periodic live stream meetings, where questions are answered and mixes submitted by members are criticized. All that under the professional guidance of Chris, but with the participation of very competent and experienced members, too.

I personally have learnt a lot since I became a member and have had the opportunity to share what I know or can, too. If you multiply that by the number of members, you have a consolidated community, where everyone has something to learn.

Anyone joining The Mixdown Coaching Community will become member of a friendly and musically diverse group.

The existing members range from inexperienced newbies like myself to very competent experts who are already arranging, mixing and producing fabulous music. The one thing they have in common is that they welcome, encourage and help each other in any way they can.

Under the leadership of mentor Chris Selim, you will very quickly benefit by improving your skills, no matter at what stage of development your music making is. The learning content is very practical and given in the form of online video lessons. Submissions of songs from members receive feedback during live feeds and input is welcomed from all the members. Very useful.

Hey Chris! I just wanted to let you know how much I'm enjoying being a member of MCC. The library of content in the Coaching section, some of which is exclusive to members, is really helpful and user-friendly and it's great having it all easily accessible in one place. Most of all, though, I'm finding the Community really inspiring, both as a mixer and a musician/producer. The Live Mix Feedback sessions are always enjoyable, and the feedback from yourself and your co-presenters is always encouraging and constructive, as are the comments from the other Community members. I definitely feel my mixes have improved as a result of having to think more critically about my own and other contributors' mixes, and through implementing some of the really helpful suggestions made during the sessions. Also, the Mixdown Challenges are great for stretching the boundaries of what you're used to, working with unfamiliar material and within certain restrictions.
It's easy to feel isolated as a mixer, so it's also really useful to have the forums where you can share problems and get some quick, relevant answers. Again, the Community members are often generous with their time and encouraging in their responses. I feel like I'm part of a world-wide support group!

Some years ago I discovered Chris Selim's Youtube channel and was very excited about his tutorials and episodes. Really great to see and hear how he explains the material.

Not so long ago Chris opened his Mixdown Academy, awesome idea where you can become a member and give your work for an appraisal to Chris and other colleagues and have a 2 monthly online meeting with the members where you get tips and learn the tricks from the others.

So if you hope to find great music colleagues and are looking for support in your writing and recording process I would definitely come to this great place!
